Breed Diamond Fruitful Coral Trial

Breed Diamond Fruitful-Coral Trials

I changed my dragon breeding couple recently. I used dragon parents with 4 different colours of green yellow blue and purple. I chose Fruitful L4 and Coral L9 as these are easy breeds to obtain for beginners. I aim to show that one can breed diamond dragons with common dragons, low to mid level dragons.

Fruitful dragon has colour elements green and yellow. Coral dragon has colour elements blue and purple. With four different colours, you can breed diamond dragon using Fruitful dragon and Coral dragon.

The colour elements of the breeding dragons used are exactly the same as Fairy / Wizard dragon combination as I've written here.

What are the dragons you can get in this breed Diamond Furitful Coral trial?

Dragons that you can breed with Fruitful dragon and Coral dragon pairing:

Diamond Dragon Ultra Rare 44 hours
Infinity Dragon Ultra Rare 40 hours
Mindvolt Dragon Rare 22 hours
Wizard Dragon Rare 22 hours
Poison Dragon Common 21 hours
Island Dragon Common 20 hours

Breed Diamond Fruitful-Coral Trial 09

Comment = So far Diamond dragon breeding progress is mildly encouraging. Why? Because the failure rate and wasted hours are relatively short (*touch wood*) - about 8 hours to 14 hours for common species of dragons.

I consider Aether dragon, a Super Rare dragon with capability to earn 2000 coins per hour at Epic level - yeh!, as a positive outcome. And I got it on the 2nd (second) attempt.

I can feel it in my bones. Diamond dragon will appear soon. Keep going, a1pro! *Pat on my back*

New diamond dragon breeding trial starts here ...

Comments on results after 20 attempts (as at 26 Jan 2013) so far = No diamond dragon so far.

Statistics on breeding results from 20 attempts with Fruitful and Coral dragons:-

Ultra Rare dragon = 0
Super Rare dragon = 1 (5%)
Rare dragon = 2 (10%)
Common dragon = 17 (85%)

Some learning points from the Fruitful / Coral trial:

(1) The number of attempts (20) is a small sample size. One should not generalize the results to the bigger picture. I think if I can go on to breed ten thousand times, the answer will be clearer.

(2) Although the four-colour element requirement for Diamond dragon breeding has been satisfied, to breed a Diamond dragon successfully requires something more.

(3) So what is/are the missing factor(s)? More tries? More luck? Higher evolution level? Greater rarity? Choosing an optimal time to breed? Left / Right switching in breeding den? Or an X-factor?

(4) More research is needed to sort out these factors.

Will this Fruitful / Coral dragon breeding pair produce a diamond dragon for me? Perhaps. Although currently I don't think so, in the immediate future anyway. Maybe I might get Diamond dragon if I tried a hundred times or more. In a matter of pure chance, the more attempts the better.

I shall review my diamond dragon breeding experiment results and re-evaluate my future breeding options.

NOTE:  I have commenced a new dragon breeding plan to try to get a Diamond dragon. Read more here about using Fairy / Wizard combo  ...
